About

A wee bit o’ bout me…..

Hello, a little bit about me. I am a 32-year-old girl from New Zealand, who is slightly below average height. I always thought that I was average and when people used to tell me I was short I would adamantly deny this. Until I googled the average height for women in New Zealand. I found I fall short (see what I did there?) of average by a couple of inches. Sometimes I have brown hair unless it is between dyes, I have poo brown eyes, crooked teeth, and a cheesy smile.

I tend to see the world a different way to most people and am often described as quirky, unique or weird. That’s ok though, everyone is weird, they just show it in varying degrees. Plus who wants to be the same as everybody else? If we were all the same the world would be a very dull place. The world needs a bit of fun and a bit of unique in it. We are only here for a short while so we may as well have some fun along the way.

Writing, reading, cross stitch knitting, and sewing are all things I enjoy. But I also enjoy being outdoors, walking, exploring, camping and finding adventures. I am a creature of habit but I also get bored if I do the same thing every day. I like spontaneity but I also enjoy routine. A complete contrast of characters but I am a girl and we are difficult creatures to decipher.

Why the name, ‘Little Adventures’?

The name of my blog, Little Adventures, encompasses what I am trying to achieve. It is not always about the big adventures, the expensive holidays (though those are great!), it is about the little adventures we can have every day if we look for them. We can find little adventures in every nook and cranny and they are what makes life fun. Life is about making the most of what you have and what you can do and big adventures aren’t always realistic for a lot of people. We can be tourists in our own backyard, we can look at our own little alcove of the world with new eyes, we can explore the well trodden path we take time and time again and find new adventures each season.

On the blog

On this blog you can find more about me, and my travels Traveling is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I love experiencing different cultures, learning about the world we live in and the people who inhabit it. Questioning the world we live in and observing people helps me not only learn about myself but learn about life in general.

Feel free to drop me a message to say hi, I love hearing from people from all walks of life.
